Dudani Marble Pvt. Ltd. is found at Plot No. 109. It’s a place where we deal with a lot of stone. Mostly it is marble and granite. If you walk into our yard, you’ll see big slabs leaning against each other. They are heavy and cold to the touch. Each one has its own patterns. We spend our days moving these around. We show them to people who are building houses or fixing up their kitchens. It is a lot of physical work. Our shoes are usually covered in stone dust by the end of the day. We don't have a flashy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a practical space where the stone speaks for itself. We've been doing this for a good while. We can usually tell where a piece came from just by looking at the veins in it. People come by and walk around the slabs. They try to imagine them in their homes. We just stand back and let them look. Then we help with the measurements when they’re ready. Shipping marble is a tricky thing because it can crack if you aren't careful. We spend a lot of time on the packing and loading part. It is a steady business. We like the solid feel of working with something that’s been around for millions of years. Every slab is different and that makes the job interesting.
