Our place is out in Motipura G.I.D.C., right at Survey No. 49, Plot No. 18. If you know the G.I.D.C. area in Motipura, you know it is all about industry and hard work. It gets very hot here during the summer months, and the industrial sheds all look pretty much the same from the outside. We have a decent-sized plot where we handle everything. It is not really a place for casual visitors, just a lot of production and storage. There is always a truck backing in or pulling out of the gate, and the noise from the neighboring units is constant. We do not mind it; it is just the sound of people getting things done. Inside, it is mostly functional. We have a small office section that is partitioned off from the main floor. The furniture is a bit old, and the files are stacked high on the metal shelves. We spend our days managing the floor and making sure the supplies are coming in on time. Lunch is usually brought from home in tiffins and eaten quickly so we can get back to the lines. It is a tough environment but we have been here for a while and we know the rhythms of the estate. There is no point in having a fancy office when you are in the middle of a G.I.D.C. zone. We just focus on getting the orders out. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due.
