Our business is way up in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, specifically in the village of Kalpa. It is a beautiful part of the world, though it can be quite a challenge to get things done when the weather turns. We are located in the VPO Kalpa area. Being in the mountains means our daily life is a lot different from someone working in a city like Delhi or Mumbai. We deal with international matters from this small mountain outpost. The air is thin and crisp, and we have a direct view of the peaks from our windows. Most of the people here in the tehsil know each other, so it’s a very tight-knit community. Our office is a simple building that keeps the cold out during the winter months. We rely heavily on our internet connection to stay in touch with the rest of the world. Sometimes the snow makes travel difficult, but we just adapt and keep going. We don't have a big staff, just a few local people who know the area well. It’s a quiet place to work, far away from the noise of the plains. We handle our tasks one by one without much fuss. People are often surprised that an international company would be based in a place like Kalpa, but we find it works well for us. It’s a peaceful environment that lets us focus on the job at hand.
