If you head out toward Thekra Bagadmeo in Ramgarh, you will find us right near Baida Thira. It is a bit of a dusty area, especially when the wind picks up, but it is home. We’ve been running this place for a while, and the building has seen a lot of students come and go. It’s not a shiny new place, but it’s sturdy. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors because the dust from the road always finds its way inside. The playground is mostly dirt, but that’s where all the best games happen anyway. We have a few trees that provide some shade during the hot months, and that is where the teachers usually sit during their break. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a few desks pushed together where we handle the admissions and the fees. Most of the parents come by on their bikes or walk over to talk about how their kids are doing. It is a very direct way of doing things. We don't use fancy emails for everything; we just talk. The classrooms are simple, with plenty of charts on the walls that the kids made themselves. It looks a bit messy sometimes, but it shows they are working. We just keep our heads down and do the work day after day, making sure the gates are locked at night. It is hard work but we are used to it.
