Mahungai Youth Association

The Mahungai Youth Association is run by a bunch of us who grew up around Kanhari and Jabara Road in Hazaribagh. We are based at Bharath Singh’s place. We started this because we wanted the younger crowd around here to have more opportunities and things to do that actually matter. Hazaribagh is a nice place, but like anywhere else, the youth can get a bit lost if there isn't some direction. We don't have a big board of directors or anything like that. It's just a group of local people who know the streets and the families here. We spend our time working on local projects and trying to keep the kids engaged with the community. Our setup is pretty basic, just a room where we meet and plan things out. We don't use fancy language or try to sound like a government office. We’re just the people you see walking down Jabara Road every day. If someone needs help or has an idea for the neighborhood, they usually just come find us. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things, and it isn't always perfect, but it's real. We are at the 825301 zip code area if you are trying to locate us. We just want to keep the local spirit alive and give the next generation something to work with. It takes a lot of patience, but we aren't planning on stopping anytime soon.
