Our place is in Ray, which is a small area in the Khalari part of Ranchi. Our office is at Jhanku Mahto’s place. It’s a bit of a trek to get here from the main city, but we like the quiet. We handle marketing and infrastructure projects. It’s a weird mix, but it works for us because there’s a lot of building going on around here. The office is very basic, just a few rooms with the essentials. We don't have air conditioning or fancy lights. We just use what we have and focus on the tasks. Most of the people on our team have lived in Jharkhand their whole lives. We understand how things work in places like Ray and Khalari. We don't try to impress people with big words or polished presentations. We’d rather just show them the work we’ve done on the ground. Sometimes we spend all day out at a site and only come back to the office to finish the paperwork. It’s a lot of physical and mental work combined. We don't have a marketing team to make us look good, so we just rely on doing a decent job. It’s a tough life sometimes, but it’s ours and we are proud of it. We just want to keep working here for many more years. Being in this part of Ranchi keeps us busy and connected. We are just regular people.
