Nisha Medical Store

We’ve been running Nisha Medical Store in Pamaj Sahibabad for a good few years now. It is just a small shop on the corner, nothing too flashy. Most days start early, around 8 AM, when we open up and sweep the front. We see a lot of the same people every day. Some just come for their blood pressure pills, others need something for a fever or a scraped knee. It stays pretty busy because people around here know us. We don’t have some big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us behind the counter. My brother helps with the inventory, making sure we have enough bandages and syrups on the shelves. Sometimes the deliveries from the distributors are late, which can be a bit of a headache, but we manage. If someone needs a specific medicine we don’t have, we usually tell them to wait a day and we’ll get it from the main market. We keep a ledger for everything, even if it feels a bit old-fashioned these days. It works for us. The shop gets a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting, but nobody seems to mind much. We like being part of Sahibabad. It’s a decent place to work. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the folks nearby have a place to get their medicine without traveling too far. Most evenings we stay open late because that's when people come back from their jobs. It's just a regular life here.
