We are based out of Hazaribag in Jharkhand. It’s a bit different from our other offices because the pace here is a lot slower and the environment is much greener. Our office serves as a hub for the engineering work we do in this part of the country. We don't have a complicated address with floor numbers or suite names; people here just know where we are. The office is a simple building that keeps the rain out and gives us a place to sit with our laptops and maps. Hazaribag is a nice place, though it can get quite cold in the winter and very dusty when the wind picks up. We don't have a lot of the modern distractions you find in the big metro cities, which actually helps us focus on the tasks we have. A lot of our work involves going out to sites, so the office is often quiet during the day with just a couple of people handling the phones and the paperwork. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the projects we’re working on. It’s a very honest way to work, without any of the corporate polish you see in places like Delhi or Bangalore. We are just a group of engineers and support staff making sure things get built properly. The local community is small, so you tend to see the same faces every day, which makes it feel a bit more like a family than just a company. We like it here in Jharkhand.
