Ghanshyam Mehta Foundation

The Ghanshyam Mehta Foundation is located on Sadanand Road in Hazaribagh. We have a couple of house numbers associated with us, 654/1102 and 655/1287, but it’s all the same spot really. Sadanand Road is a familiar place for anyone who has lived in Hazaribag for a while. We started this foundation because we wanted to honor a legacy and do some good in our hometown. We aren't corporate people. Most of us have other jobs or families to look after, but we give our spare time to this work. The office is just a normal house where we keep our files and meet up. It doesn't look like an office building at all. Sometimes the front gate sticks a little and you have to give it a good shove. We don't have a marketing budget or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just talk like we always do. We focus on the small things that people actually need. It’s not about grand gestures for us. It’s about being there for a neighbor or helping a local kid. Jharkhand is a place where community matters, and we just want to be a part of that. If you walk down Sadanand Road, you might see us sitting outside talking. We are just local residents who decided to get together and start something that might help the town a bit.
