D. Tribute Masala

D. Tribute Masala is situated in Jai Prakash Nagar, right on Karma Road. It’s a pretty straightforward place to find once you are in the neighborhood. The area is mostly residential with some small businesses scattered around. We have our setup here where we process the spices. Karma Road isn't the widest, so when a big truck comes to drop off raw materials, it can be a bit of a headache for the neighbors. We try to be quick about it. The building we are in is simple, just concrete and brick with a sturdy roof. Inside, it’s all about the work. We have different stations for cleaning, drying, and then grinding the spices. It’s a lot of manual labor. We don't have fancy air conditioning, so we rely on the breeze coming through the open doors. The smell of the spices stays with you long after you leave the building. We are a small group of people working here, and we mostly just get on with our jobs without much talk. We use old scales to weigh everything out. It’s a bit of a slower pace than the big factories, but we like it that way because we can see every bag that goes out the door. Jai Prakash Nagar is a nice community, and we’ve been part of it for a good while. We just open up in the morning, do our work, and close the doors when the streetlights come on.
