Verbadreshwar Kirani Store

Our store is on Byadagi Road, specifically at 487/48 in the Haveri District. It is a traditional kirana shop, so we sell a bit of everything that people need for their kitchens. We have bins full of grains and shelves lined with soaps and oils. The space is a bit tight because we try to fit as much stock as possible into the room. There is a wooden counter where we stand most of the day, using the old manual scales to weigh out dal or rice. Byadagi Road is often busy with tractors and trucks, especially during the harvest season. We see a lot of the same people every day, folks from around the Haveri District who have been coming to us for years. Verbadreshwar Kirani Store is not a supermarket. You won't find any shopping carts here. We just grab what you need from the shelves ourselves. Sometimes we run out of something and have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It is just the way it is. The light in the back of the shop is a bit dim, but we know where everything is. We start early, usually before the sun is fully up, to get the shop ready for the morning rush. It is hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it is what we know how to do.
