Shri Durganjaniya General Store

If you are ever waiting for a bus near the stand in Lingadevakoppa Village, you have probably seen our shop. Shri Durganjaniya General Store has been a part of this village for quite a few years now. We sit right here where everyone passes by. It is not a huge place, just a regular local store packed with all the things people need daily. We sell everything from soap and matches to snacks for the kids coming home from school. My family helps run the place. Sometimes my son sits at the counter when I have to go into town to get more stock. It is a busy life, but it is good to talk to the neighbors every day. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. We don't have those fancy scanners or bright neon lights you see in the city. We keep our records in a big notebook and use a simple scale for the loose goods. Sometimes the shelves get a bit messy when a big shipment comes in, but we get it sorted eventually. People come here to catch up on the news as much as they do to buy sugar or oil. We try to keep our prices fair because we live here too and know how it is. It is just a plain, honest shop for the village. Nothing more, nothing less. We open early in the morning before the first bus arrives and stay until the evening.
