Out here at 429/13 on P B Road in Kamadod, the pace is set by the highway. Ramco Industries Ltd. is located right where the transport is constant. You get used to the sound of the big rigs and the wind blowing across the open spaces. It’s a dusty kind of place, but that’s the nature of this work. We don't spend much time sitting around in air-conditioned rooms. Most of the day is spent out in the yard or near the loading bays. The sun can be brutal in Kamadod, so we make sure to have plenty of water and take breaks when the heat gets to be too much. It’s a straightforward life. We check the manifests, load the trailers, and watch the cargo head out toward the next town. There isn’t a lot of mystery to it. We’ve got a small group of workers who have been here for years, and we all know our roles. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just handle the industrial supplies and make sure the paperwork is mostly right. The PB Road location is handy for the logistics, even if it means we’re always dealing with the noise of the traffic. It’s an honest day’s work for honest pay. We don’t really look for much more than that. When the sun sets over the highway, we close up the yard and get ready to do it all again tomorrow morning.
