P K Ice Cream Factory

P K Ice Cream Factory is located at 254 Main Road in Haveri, right near the SBI Bank. Even though we call it a factory, it’s also where people come to get their ice cream directly. Being on the main road means there is a constant stream of cars and buses going past the front. The bank next door brings in a lot of people who are out doing their errands. Inside, it’s a bit louder than a normal shop because of the machinery we use to keep everything cold and make sure the ice cream is right. We spend many hours back there working with the ingredients and making sure the batches are coming out okay. It’s a lot of heavy lifting with the milk cans and the finished tubs. The front area is simple, just enough room for people to stand and pick what they want. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, as the focus is mostly on the making things side of the business. The floor is usually a bit wet from cleaning the equipment, so we have to be careful not to slip. People in Haveri know us well since we are right there on the main stretch. We don't spend money on marketing or anything like that, we just let the location do the work. It’s a busy life running a factory and a shop at the same time, but we just take it one day at a time. The work never really stops until very late.
