Mahalaxmi Plastics

Our place is right on MG Road in the Haveri district, and we are very close to the Gandhi Circle. If you know the circle, you know it is the heart of the town and it is always noisy with horns and people shouting. We deal in all sorts of plastic items, and our shop is usually packed from floor to ceiling with buckets, tubs, and whatever else we have in stock. It can be a bit of a squeeze to walk through the aisles because we try to keep as much as we can on hand for the folks who come in from the surrounding villages. The sun shines right into the front of the shop in the mornings, which makes the plastic smell a certain way, but we are used to it by now. We spend most of the day helping people find the right size or color they want, and then we tie things up with twine so they can carry them home on their bikes or buses. It’s a simple business, really. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people just know we are near the circle and they come by when they need something sturdy for their house or farm. Sometimes we sit out front and talk to the other shopkeepers when things are quiet. It’s a good community here on MG Road, even if it is a bit loud.
