Hegade Food Product

We are out here in Gangiwal Village, which is part of Rayanal in Hubli Taluk. The place is 455, if you’re looking for the door. It’s quiet out here compared to the main city areas. My family started Hegade Food Product because we’ve always been around farming and food. It’s just what people do in this part of Hubli. We handle a lot of different food stuff. The building we work in is pretty basic. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and keep working. Sometimes the neighbors come by to help or just to see what we’re packing today. It isn't a big operation with hundreds of people. It’s mostly just a few of us making sure everything is clean and ready. The road to the village can be a bit bumpy depending on the rain. We’ve been at this for a bit now. We don't have a big office or anything like that. We mostly just sit around the back when we take our lunch breaks. It feels good to be working in the village instead of being stuck in a crowded market. You get to see the fields every morning when you walk in. Most of the people around here know us by name. We just try to get the food products out on time. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from morning till sun down.
