Belagavi General Store

Our store is located on Hangal Road in Haveri. We do not have a specific building number, just this spot on the road that everyone knows. We sell general items that people need for their houses. This includes things for the kitchen and the bathroom like brushes, soaps, and big tins of cooking oil. The floor is made of concrete and it is a bit stained from years of people walking on it. Haveri can get very hot in the summer so we have a ceiling fan that stays on all day. It does not do much but it helps a little bit. We get many travelers who are just passing through on Hangal Road. They usually stop to buy water or cigarettes. I spend a lot of my time restacking the items on the shelves. Things get disorganized very quickly when customers are looking through them. We have a small radio that plays local songs while we work. It keeps us company during the quiet hours. We have been operating here for a long time. The sign outside is getting a bit rusty and some of the paint is peeling off. We should probably fix it one day but it is not a big deal. We have a dark back room where we store extra sacks of sugar and flour. It is a straightforward shop with no fancy extras. We just provide for the folks in Haveri.
