Babaji Kirani Stores

Our shop, Babaji Kirani Stores, is situated at 847 Pete Oni in Akkialur. It’s right in the middle of the local area, so it’s easy for people to find us when they’re out doing their chores. We carry all the regular grocery items that households in Haveri depend on. Being in a place like Akkialur, we know just about everyone who walks through the door. It’s not a big corporate store; it’s just a small family-run spot where things are a bit more personal. Sometimes the shop feels a little cluttered because we have so much stuffed into the shelves, but we know where everything is. We spend our mornings opening up the bags of grain and getting everything ready for the day. There’s always something to do, whether it’s cleaning the counter or checking the expiry dates on the snacks. The street outside, Pete Oni, can get quite busy with carts and bikes, which adds to the noise. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that works most of the time. It’s simple work, and we don’t try to make it sound like anything else. We’ve had some rainy days where the water almost comes inside, but we manage to keep things dry. It’s a humble place, and we’re just happy to be part of the community here. Most people just come in for a few things and stay to talk for a minute or two about their day.
