B B S Prayag Foundation

We are based at 116 Lehariurua, and it’s been our home for a while. The area around here is pretty straightforward, just a mix of houses and small paths. Being at number 116 means people sometimes miss us if they aren't looking closely, but we like it that way. It’s a bit more peaceful. Inside, the foundation office is pretty basic. We have some old wooden chairs and a couple of tables where we stack our files. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't really gotten around to it yet because we're usually busy with other things. There is a small window that lets in some light during the afternoon, which makes the room feel a bit warmer. Most days, it’s just the sound of someone typing or the fan humming in the background. It’s a very local feel here. Neighbors know us by name, and sometimes someone will stop by just to ask a quick question or borrow something. We don't have any corporate protocols or fancy reception desks. You just walk in and someone is usually there to talk to you. We like keeping things down to earth. It feels more honest to work in a place that looks like a regular home. We’ve grown attached to this little spot in Lehariurua, even with all its small quirks like the door that sticks in the rainy season. It’s not much, but it’s ours and it’s where all the work happens. It stays quiet most afternoons.
