Afzal Moonga Moti Udyog

Our shop is called Afzal Moonga Moti Udyog. We are located in Purdil Nagar, right near the Masjid Bari Bakhal. It’s a very busy spot and there is always something going on outside. We have been here for many years. We mostly deal with moonga and moti, which are corals and pearls. The shop is small and a bit crowded with all our stock. We have boxes piled up in the corners. It’s not a polished showroom, just a place where we do our business. Most people find us because they are going to the masjid. We spend our time sorting through the pearls. You have to have good eyes for that. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside when it’s too hot in the shop. We know everyone in the neighborhood. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website. If someone wants to see what we have, they just come in and ask. We show them the different grades of pearls we have in stock. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, so we sometimes take the stones to the door to see them in the sun. It’s a simple way of working, but it’s how we’ve always done it. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just want to do our work honestly. It gets a bit dusty with the traffic, but we manage. People know where we are.
