Sdm College Of Ayurveda & Hospital

This place in Thanniruhalla is where we handle both the college and the hospital side of Ayurveda. If you look at our address, it’s P B No 164, which is how a lot of our mail comes in. We are tucked away a bit, but people find us easily enough because we've been here for a long time. It’s a busy spot because we have students learning the old ways of healing while also treating patients who come in with all kinds of health issues. You’ll often smell the herbs and oils we use as soon as you walk into the main building. It’s not like a sterile, modern city hospital; it has more of a traditional and lived-in feel to it. The students are always around, carrying their books or helping out in the wards, which keeps the energy high even when the days are long. We have a lot of people coming in who have tried other things and now want to see what Ayurveda can do for them. It’s a lot of talking and explaining how the different treatments work. The pace is steady but not usually frantic. We spend a lot of time preparing the medicine and making sure the hospital part runs smoothly for the patients staying with us. It’s a lot of work to keep both the college and the hospital going at once, but we’ve been doing it for years now. We just try to be practical and help whoever walks through the gate.
