Nucifera Coconut Producer Company is based out in Harohalli Village, which is part of the Madihalli Hobli in Belur Taluk. Our office is in the Chilkur Post area. It’s a rural setting, so things move at a different pace than they do in the city. We are mostly focused on coconut production and working with the farmers around here. The building isn’t very big, but it serves its purpose for our meetings and keeping track of the harvests. We spend a lot of time out in the fields or talking to people about the crop. It’s honest work and it keeps us connected to the land. Sometimes the roads around Belur get a bit rough during the monsoon, but we still make it to the office. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy things for us. It’s just a group of us trying to make sure the coconut business works for the people in this village. We deal with whatever problems come up, whether it's the weather or transport issues. It's a practical business and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. Most of our day is spent checking on quality and talking to the local suppliers. It’s a quiet life in Harohalli but we stay busy enough with the work at hand. We might not have a big office, but we have enough space for the work we do every day. We just keep going.
