Natya School Of Dance

The Natya School Of Dance is located in Kuvempu Nagara, Channarayapatna. We have been teaching dance here for a good while now, and it’s a place that many local people know about. Our studio isn't anything fancy; it’s just a large, open room where we have enough space to move around and practice our steps. We focus on teaching different styles of dance to both kids and adults from around the area. We don't have a big team of marketers or a polished corporate image. It’s just us, the teachers, and the people who come here to learn. Most of our classes take place in the later part of the day, so the studio gets quite busy and noisy with music once the sun starts to go down. We’ve put a lot of work into keeping the floor in good condition and making sure the mirrors stay clean. People in Channarayapatna usually find us by word of mouth, which we prefer anyway. It’s a lot of physical work, showing the same movements over and over until the students feel comfortable with them. We also have to handle the usual small business stuff, like scheduling and keeping the lights on. We aren't trying to be anything more than a local dance school where people can come and enjoy themselves. It’s a simple, practical setup for anyone in Kuvempu Nagara who has an interest in dance. We just keep the music playing and the doors open.
