We are down here on Pump House Road in Belur Taluk. It is right on the 2nd Cross near Gangaiah G.K.’s place. The weather around Hassan gets quite rainy sometimes, which usually slows down the building work we have going on. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot over the Karnataka hills. People usually find us by looking for the landmarks near the pump house since the street names can get a bit confusing for folks not from around here. We handle different construction jobs around the district. There is always a lot of dust and noise when a new project starts up. We have been in this spot for a while now. The office isn't much to look at, just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of blueprints rolled up in the corner. Sometimes the tea man comes by twice a day. We spend most of our time out at the sites rather than sitting inside. It is hard work, mostly involving bricks, cement, and making sure everything is level. The guys on the crew live nearby so we all know each other pretty well. We don't really do big advertisements. Most people just walk in or call because they saw our boards at a site. It stays busy enough to keep everyone working throughout the year. If the truck is out front, someone is usually there to talk about whatever building needs doing.
