Banashankari General Store

This is Banashankari General Store. We are located at 24-7-41 on Vaikunta Street in Halebeedu. It’s a quiet enough street most days, though we get some visitors because of the local history here. Our shop is where locals come to get their daily essentials. We have everything from snacks and cold drinks to matches and cleaning supplies. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful how we stack things so people can actually walk in. I’ve been running this place for a good while now. It’s just a regular general store, nothing fancy about it. We don’t have an air conditioner or big glass doors. Just a counter and shelves. I usually sit out front when it’s not too busy. You can see the neighbors passing by and we usually have a quick chat. Vaikunta Street is a nice place to be. We open up pretty early because the farmers and workers around here need things before they start their day. It’s a simple life running a shop like this. We don’t do any big promotions or sales. We just sell things at the normal price. If we run out of something, I try to get it in the next day. People around Halebeedu know where to find us if they need a quick item for the kitchen or the house. It's just a steady, local business and we are happy with that.
