Glen View Pachmarhi

Glen View Pachmarhi is one of the properties run by the M.P. State Tourism Development Corporation. We are located up here in the hills of Pachmarhi, which is a lot quieter than the cities down below. The building has been around for a long time and has that old style to it. We don't have a lot of the modern fancy stuff you see in private hotels, but we have plenty of space and a good view of the surroundings. The staff here mostly lives nearby, and we’ve been working for the corporation for years. We handle the check-ins, the cleaning, and the kitchen. Since it’s a government-run place, things move at a certain pace. We don't do flashy advertising or try to be something we aren't. Most of our guests are families who have been coming to Pachmarhi for generations. The weather up here changes fast, so we spend a lot of time maintaining the grounds and making sure the roof doesn't leak during the monsoon. It’s a lot of maintenance work. The dining hall is big and we serve basic meals that people like. It’s a practical place to stay if you want to see the sights around town without too much fuss. We just keep things running as best as we can with what we have. It’s a steady job in a beautiful part of Madhya Pradesh. We just look after the guests who find their way to us.
