Amit Spices

We are located near Bank Road in Bhoklapar, which is a fairly easy spot to find if you’re in the Nalanda area. Amit Spices isn't some high-end boutique; it’s a working spice shop where we get our hands dirty every day. The air in here is always thick with the scent of black pepper and dried ginger. We started this because we wanted to stay in the local area and do something we actually understood. Every morning starts with checking the sacks that came in from the farms. If the quality isn't there, we don't use it, simple as that. There are days when the heat makes it tough to work, but we keep the fans going and get through the orders. Folks from around Bhoklapar come in for their weekly supply, and we usually have a chat about the weather or local news while we weigh things out. It’s a bit of a messy business, with spice dust settling on every surface, but we do our best to keep it tidy for the customers. We don't have a marketing team or a big strategy. We just grind the spices, pack them up, and sell them across the counter. Sometimes we have to explain why the color of the turmeric changes slightly between different batches, but that’s just nature for you. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from sunup to sundown. We like being part of the community here and seeing the same people come back year after year.
