Yann Industries

We are based in Muttam, which is in the Haripad area of Alappi district. Our workshop is very close to the temple, so we can often hear the bells and the music during festival times. Yann Industries is a small manufacturing setup. We do mostly assembly and some basic fabrication work here. It’s not a high-tech facility, just some good machines and a few dedicated workers from the village. We’ve been here for several years. The air is a bit humid because we aren't too far from the water, so we have to be careful about keeping the machinery oiled so it doesn't rust. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We mostly get work through word of mouth from other businesses in the district. Sometimes the power goes out in the middle of a job, and we just have to sit outside and wait for it to come back on. It gives us a chance to talk and have some coffee. We don't have a set schedule for new products; we just make what our customers ask for. The workspace is usually a bit cluttered with raw materials and half-finished projects. It’s a quiet life for the most part, away from the big cities. We like being near the temple because it makes the whole area feel peaceful. We start our day early when it’s still cool and try to finish up before the evening prayers begin at the temple nearby.
