If you drive down Shimoga Road in Harihar, you’ll find us at 121/22 in the Mahajenahalli area. This is more of an industrial patch of ground where things actually get made. Psk Pharma operates out of a decent-sized building that has seen its fair share of rain and sun over the years. We spend our days mostly dealing with the production side of things, making sure the machines are clean and the batches are moving along. It’s a bit of a trek from the main town, so we usually bring our own lunch and eat together in the small break area near the back. The road outside is often busy with trucks carrying all sorts of materials to the different factories. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of the equipment and the occasional beep from a monitor. We have to be quite careful with the storage temperatures, so there’s a lot of checking the gauges and writing down numbers on clipboards. It’s quiet work in a way, despite the constant hum of the factory floor. The staff here mostly comes from the nearby villages and everyone knows their job well enough that we don't need to talk much to get things done. We keep the floors swept and the windows shut to keep the dust from the road out of the clean areas. It’s a long day from start to finish, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we all appreciate after working here for so many years.
