Different Stroke

You can find Different Stroke at 376 West Amber Talab, right along Old Hospital Road. It’s an older building in a part of town that has been around for a long time. We’ve been here for quite a while ourselves. The name reflects how we like to do things—a bit differently than the bigger shops. We don't follow a strict corporate manual. The shop is a bit cluttered, and things aren't always perfectly organized on the shelves, but that’s part of the charm. We get a lot of people coming in from Old Hospital Road, some just to escape the sun for a bit and others looking for something specific. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us for years. We like the local feel of Amber Talab, and we know most of the other shopkeepers on the block. Our days are spent talking to people and handling whatever comes through the door. We don't do much in the way of advertising. We just rely on people seeing our sign and stopping in. It’s a simple way to run a business, and it suits us fine. The walls are a little faded, and the floor creaks in a few spots, but it feels like home to us. If you’re ever near the old hospital, you’ll probably see us there.
