P/M Tools & Abrasives

You can find P/M Tools & Abrasives out at Khasra No. 214 in Bhagwanpur, near Roorkee. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always a lot of noise and dust around. We deal with grinding wheels, sandpaper, and all kinds of cutting tools. The shop floor is usually covered in a fine layer of grit from the abrasives. We don't bother cleaning it too much during the day because it just comes back. It’s a tough environment, and we all wear sturdy clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. My desk is tucked away in a corner behind some crates of grinding stones. I’ve got a lot of old catalogs and samples sitting around. People come in looking for a very specific tool, and we spend time digging through the shelves to find it. We don't have a website that shows everything, so it’s mostly just us knowing what’s in stock. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in the mud outside if it’s been raining hard. We just get the shovel and help them out. It’s not a glamorous job, but these tools are needed for a lot of other work. We keep things simple and just try to help the customers who walk through the door. It’s been our way of doing things for a long time. The metal roof makes a loud noise when it rains, so we have to shout.
