We are situated at 14/15 in the Pursharthi Market, right in Haridwar. Being so close to the Haridwar bus stand means we are always in the middle of a lot of action. The market is constantly moving with travelers and local shoppers. Our work involves the motor owners who are part of the corporation, so we spend our days managing bus routes and handling the logistical side of things. It is a lot of back-and-forth with the drivers and making sure the schedules are being followed as well as possible. The office is a regular market space, nothing too fancy or modern. We have old desks and a lot of registers where we record everything. In the mornings, the place is quite loud with people coming in and out. We usually have a tea from the stall next door while we work through the morning rush. The walls are a bit worn out, but the office is functional for what we need to do. People often stop by to ask about bus timings to the mountain towns, and we just tell them what the current schedule looks like. It is a busy, honest way to earn a living in a city that never really seems to quiet down. We just keep the motors running and the paperwork moving as much as we can. It is a lot of work but we have been here for a long time.
