Swagat Sales

We are tucked away in the Red Stone Building over here in Pahari Bazar. If you know Kankhal, you know how these streets get in the afternoon. Our shop, Swagat Sales, isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside, but we’ve been at 135 for quite some time now. Mostly, it is just us managing the stock and talking to the people who walk in off the street. The building itself has that old feel, and sometimes the stairs are a bit of a climb if you're carrying a lot. We don’t really do much in the way of big advertisements or anything like that. People mostly find us because they live nearby or someone told them where we were. It’s a lot of routine stuff, opening up early when the market starts to wake up and closing when things quiet down in the evening. There is always noise from the bazar, which you get used to after a while. Sometimes it’s hard to hear yourself think when the festival seasons come around, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We keep things pretty simple here. It’s mostly just making sure the shelves aren't empty and that we can find what someone is looking for without too much trouble. It is a small team, usually just a couple of us, so things stay pretty personal. We know most of the faces that come through the door by now.
