We are located at House Number 236 in Sultanpur, which is in the Adampur area of Haridwar. This is where Shreshth Jeevan Mahila Nidhi Limited runs its daily operations. It is a local house that we turned into a workspace. It feels very familiar because it is right in the heart of where everyone lives. Many women from the surrounding parts of Haridwar come through our doors every week. We wanted to have a place where women feel comfortable talking about money and savings without feeling overwhelmed by big bank buildings. The office is usually filled with the sound of conversation and the clinking of tea cups. We spend our time going over the books and making sure every deposit is recorded correctly. Sometimes the kids come along with their mothers, and the place gets a bit loud, but we don't mind. It is part of being in a community like Sultanpur. We focus on the small things that matter to families here. Whether it is saving up for a wedding or just having a little extra for an emergency, we try to keep the process as simple as we can. There are no corporate bosses telling us what to do from some office in Delhi. We just do what makes sense for the people living right here in Adampur and the rest of Haridwar.
