You can find us at Shakshi Nandani Aluminium right across from the Methodist School on Haridwar Road in Roorkee. Our house number is 1049/1. It’s a busy road, so there’s always noise from the traffic going by. We work with aluminium, mostly for windows, doors, and frames. If you walk into our workshop, you’ll hear the sound of saws cutting through metal and see shavings all over the floor. It’s not the cleanest job, but we take pride in getting the measurements right. A lot of people from the neighborhood come to us because they know we’re right here and won't charge them for things they don't need. We don’t do big fancy brochures or anything like that. We just show people the samples we have in the shop and tell them the price. Sometimes we have to go out to a house to measure things, and that takes time because the Roorkee traffic can be pretty bad. We’ve been at this for a while. It’s just me and a couple of guys doing the fabrication. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Uttarakhand, just the one that does the job correctly the first time. It is hard work, and your arms get tired from lifting the heavy frames, but it pays the bills and keeps the lights on. We’re just a local business on Haridwar Road trying to keep things moving and doing our part for the town.
