Haridwar is a busy place, especially around Jwalapur. My office is located at 67 Nandpuri. It is quite close to Arya Nagar Chowk, so there is always something happening outside. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, and setting up the financial consultancy here felt like the natural thing to do. The neighborhood is mostly families and small local shops. It’s not like those big glass offices you see in Delhi. Here, it’s more about sitting down with a cup of tea and looking through bank statements or loan papers. The chowk nearby is a major landmark, so people never have a hard time finding the house. I use one of the front rooms as my workspace. It’s filled with ledgers and my old wooden desk. Sometimes the neighbor’s kids are playing out in the street, and that noise comes right in. I don’t mind it much. It makes the day go by faster. Haridwar has its own pace, and Jwalapur is no different. I handle a lot of the local financial questions people have, mostly just helping them figure out their savings or how to deal with some government forms. It’s honest work. The weather gets really hot in the summer, so I usually start my work very early in the morning before it gets too stuffy inside. By the time the evening rolls around, I’m usually just finishing up the last bits of filing.
