We are up on the second floor of Sudarshan Plaza in Roorkee. The building is number 11 in the Civil Lines area. It’s a decent part of town to be in. The plaza has a lot of different businesses, so there is always someone coming up or down the stairs. Our office isn't very large, but it’s got enough room for the associates and all the files we have to keep. Roorkee is a nice place, not too big, but busy enough. From the second floor, we can see a bit of the street life in Civil Lines. Most of my day is spent looking through legal papers or accounting documents. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of sitting still and reading. We have a couple of old fans that hum all day long. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out or work by the window light. It’s an honest way to make a living. People from all over the area come in with their problems, and we try to sort them out as best as we can. It’s not a fancy place with leather chairs; we just use what we have. Civil Lines has a lot of character, and being in Sudarshan Plaza puts us right in the middle of it. We just keep our heads down and get the work done, day after day.
