Omkara Tour & Travels

Omkara Tour & Travels is located in Gali Shiv Murti which is right in the thick of Haridwar. It is one of those narrow lanes where there is always someone passing by. You have to be careful walking because of the scooters and the people. Our office is tucked into this alley and it’s a cozy little space. We have a few chairs and a small desk where we keep the ledger books. There is always a lot of chatter coming from the street outside which makes the day go by fast. We don't use any complicated systems to run things. It is mostly just pens and paper and a lot of phone calls. People come in to ask about distances and how long it takes to get to different temples. We tell them what we know from years of living here. We don't try to sound like experts. We are just locals who know the area well. Sometimes the power goes out and we just light a candle and keep talking. It is an honest way to work. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them where the Gali is. We appreciate the people who stop in and we try to give them the right information without any fuss. It’s just a normal day at the office for us.
