Nishu Thakur

My name is Nishu Thakur and I operate out of my home at house number 588 in the Avas Vikas colony in Haridwar. It is a pretty standard residential area here in Uttaranchal, 249407 for anyone looking at a map. I decided to set things up here because it is convenient and keeps the overhead low, which is important when you are just starting out or keeping things small. Living and working in Haridwar means dealing with the usual crowds and the traffic near the main roads, but back in Avas Vikas, it stays relatively calm. I handle everything myself mostly. Some days are slow and others I’m running around trying to keep up with the paperwork and the odd jobs that come my way. There is no big sign outside or a lobby with a receptionist. It is just a desk, a computer, and a lot of lists. I’ve lived in this part of India for a long time, so I know the area well. This isn't some corporate branch; it's just me trying to make a living and provide what people need from this little corner of the neighborhood. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the tea is usually cold before I get to finish it, but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy. I try to stay organized but sometimes things get a bit messy, which is just real life.
