Darbari Vinyls Industries

Out here at No. 143 in the Raipur Industrial Area, things stay pretty busy from Monday to Saturday. Being on the P O. Bhagwanpur Bollaram Road means there are always trucks passing by and the sound of horns in the distance. Darbari Vinyls Industries is a large shed where we handle all our production. It gets very hot in the summer, so we keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze we can from the road. We work with various types of vinyl materials, and the smell of the warehouse is something you never quite forget once you've worked here. It’s a practical environment. We have benches for cutting and stacks of rolls waiting to be shipped out. Most of the guys here live nearby and have been with us since the start. We don't really have a front desk or a lobby, you just walk in and find someone. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the batches to make sure they aren't warped or marked. If a machine breaks down, the whole place goes quiet, which is always a bit strange for us. We do our own maintenance for the most part. It’s hard work and your hands get rough, but it’s a living. We just keep our heads down and get the production done so we can get home on time. It is a simple life of making things and moving them out to customers.
