Kiran General Store

Kiran General Store is tucked away in Badkot Market, right near ITI Road in Ward No-05. Being in Uttarkashi district, we see a lot of local folks coming in for their daily bits and pieces. We have a bit of everything on the shelves. There are sacks of rice, different lentils, soaps, and those small packets of biscuits kids like. The space is a little crowded because we try to fit as much as possible inside. You have to navigate around a few crates of soda or water bottles sometimes. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when people are getting stuff for breakfast or the kitchen. We’ve been at this location for a while now. The market gets quite loud with all the traffic and people shouting, but inside it’s just the usual routine of weighing out grains and making change. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to use a torch to find things at the back of the store. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. Things are just where they’ve always been. If you can't find the salt or the tea leaves, just ask and we’ll grab it for you. It's a simple shop for the community here. We know most of our customers by name and what they usually buy on a Tuesday. Stop in if you're passing by the ITI road area.
