Electro World

Shop No. 28 in Chhawni Market is where you will find us. We are right near Bengali More in Kankhal. It's a busy spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is out shopping. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack the boxes of electronics almost to the ceiling. You have to be careful when walking around so you don't trip over a wire or a stray component. We have a small workbench in the back where we test things out. Sometimes the lights in the market flicker, which isn't great for an electronics shop, but we make do. There is always a lot of chatter coming from the other shops nearby. We spend a lot of time talking to people who come in from Kankhal and the surrounding areas. They usually have something that stopped working or they need a specific part that is hard to find. We don't really have a polished showroom. It’s more of a place where stuff gets fixed and sold over a wooden counter. The floor is a bit uneven, and the paint on the door is peeling a little. It’s a practical space. We keep the ledger on a shelf near the fan. Every day is different depending on what people bring in. Some days it’s mostly small batteries and bulbs, and other days it’s much more complicated. We just like being part of the Chhawni Market community.
