Jai Ganga Ornaments

The shop is located in Bara Bazar and it is usually quite loud outside with all the people and carts passing by. Jai Ganga Ornaments is not a huge showroom with bright lights and air conditioning that makes you freeze. It is a small place where we keep our tools and a few cases for the jewelry. We spend most of our time looking through a small magnifying glass or trying to fix a clasp on a silver chain. People come in from the market to get their old rings polished or to see if we can melt something down to make something new. The floor is covered with a simple mat and we sit there while we talk to the customers. Sometimes the chai guy comes by and we take a break for five minutes. It gets very dusty because the street is so busy but we try to keep the glass clean so people can see the silver and gold. There are many shops in Bara Bazar but we have been in this same spot for years. Dealing with small pieces of metal is hard on the eyes after a few hours. We don't do big advertisements or anything. Most people who come here are just neighbors or people who heard about us from their family. It is just a regular daily job for us here in the market.
