We are located at 76, Sheikhpuri. It’s a regular residential and commercial mix of an area. Our office is part of an older building, and it’s not very large. We handle international trade, which sounds a lot more exciting than it actually is on a daily basis. Most of the time, we are just sitting at our desks dealing with customs forms, shipping manifests, and a lot of phone calls to people in different time zones. The room is filled with stacks of paper and empty cardboard boxes. We have a few old computers and a printer that jams at least once a day. There’s a small window that looks out onto the street, where we can see the local kids playing or people going about their shopping. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to make sure the cargo gets from one place to another without too many problems. Sometimes there are delays at the port, and those days are very stressful for us. We drink way too much tea and stay late quite often to finish the paperwork. It’s a small team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from filing to heavy lifting. It’s just a normal, hardworking office in the middle of Sheikhpuri. We try to keep things simple and honest in our daily dealings.
