Ictus Ita Foundation

We are located at Sher Kothi inside the Mission Compound in Roorkee. It is right on Civil Line 1, which is a pretty central part of the city. Being in the Roorkee Compound gives us a bit of a historical feel, as some of these buildings have been around for quite a long time. The Ictus Ita Foundation isn't a giant organization with hundreds of employees. It is just a handful of us working out of this old spot. The walls are thick and the rooms stay cool even when the Roorkee heat gets bad in the summer. We like the location because it’s easy for people to find us when they are in the Civil Line area. It’s not a polished, modern office with glass walls. It’s more of a traditional space where we keep our books and do our planning. There’s usually a bit of dust on the shelves and the furniture has seen better days, but it serves its purpose. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. We’d rather just focus on what we are doing each day. The compound is usually quiet, except for when people are passing through to the other offices nearby. It’s a good place for thinking and getting things done without too much noise. We’ve become part of the landscape here. If you walk past the Mission Compound, you’ll see where we are. It’s a humble setup, but it’s home for our foundation.
