Ganga Tour & Travels

Ganga Tour & Travels is situated right near Hotel Ganga Dham at Subash Ghat in Haridwar. Being so close to the river means there is always a lot of movement outside our door. We spend our days at the office handling various travel requests that come in from people visiting the ghats. The area gets very noisy during the evening prayers but we are used to it by now. We have a small space where we keep our registers and the phone never really stops ringing. Sometimes we have to run out to meet a driver or check on a booking down the street. It is not a very big office but it works for what we need to do. Most of the time, we are just busy writing down names and dates for upcoming trips. We don't bother with fancy decorations or anything like that. The walls have a few old calendars and some maps pinned up. It can get a little dusty with all the people walking by on the main road but we try to keep it tidy enough. My cousin often sits in when I have to go out for lunch or errands. We see the same faces every day around Subash Ghat and it feels like a small community. Managing the cars and the timings takes up most of our energy. We just do our bit to keep things moving along for the travelers who find us and ask for help every single day.
