Living and working in Roorkee has its own rhythm. My place is in Green Park Colony, which is usually a bit quieter than the main market areas. Being a doctor here means you see a lot of different people every day. Some people come from Haridwar or just from around the corner in Roorkee. The chairs in the waiting area have been there for years. People come in with their problems, we sit down, and we talk. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a quick break. The weather in this part of Uttarakhand can get really hot in the summer, so the cooler is always running. In winter, it gets quite chilly, especially in the mornings. I like being here because the people are straightforward. You get to know their families and their stories. It’s more than just medicine; it’s about being part of the community. I don't use a lot of fancy computers or systems, just my notes and my experience. Most days are long, but that is just how it is when you do this kind of work. I plan to stay here for as long as I can.
