Devbhoomi Hospital

Devbhoomi Hospital is situated at 113 in the New Haridwar Colony. It’s a residential area mostly, so the atmosphere is a bit different than the hospitals right in the middle of the city or near the ghats. The building is a decent size and fits right in with the other structures in the colony. We have a small garden area at the front, though it's mostly just some grass and a few hardy bushes that don't mind the dust. Inside, the floors are polished stone and we have several rooms for patients to stay in. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except for when the local delivery trucks come through or kids are playing in the street outside. We have a staff of nurses and helpers who live nearby, so it feels like a very local operation. The waiting room has a few benches and a wall clock that ticks a bit too loudly when it’s silent. We don't have any fancy murals or expensive decorations on the walls, just some health posters and a calendar. Living and working in Haridwar, you get used to the rhythm of the town and the seasons. We just try to keep the hospital running smoothly and make sure there’s enough water and supplies for everyone. It’s a practical, honest sort of place where we do our best with what we have in this part of the colony. We’ve been here quite a few years now.
