Our business is called Crewel Work Private Limited. We are located at Salempur-II, Near Mantrana Flat, C/O Sharda Nand Mishra, Nehru Colony 249403, BAHADRABAD-Haridwar. It’s a bit of a long address, but basically, we are right there in the Bahadrabad area. We specialize in crewel work, which is a specific kind of embroidery that takes a lot of patience. We do it because we enjoy the detail, even if it’s slow. The workspace is near the Mantrana Flat and Sharda Nand Mishra helps us out with the location. Haridwar is a busy city, but our part in Salempur-II is a little more tucked away. We have a few local artisans who come in daily. They sit and work on the fabric for hours. It’s not a high-tech environment. We use needles and wool mostly. The building is simple and practical. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or big ads. Most of our business comes from people who know about the quality of the stitching we do. We’ve been here in Nehru Colony, Bahadrabad for a while now. It feels like home. We just want to keep the tradition of this kind of work going while making a living. It’s a quiet life, focused on the craft and the community around us. Sometimes we drink tea together in the afternoon while looking over the newest designs.
