You can find our shop at G-16 in Alankar Palace. This is in Jwalapur, and we are right near the Shankar Ashram. It’s a pretty well-known landmark, so people don’t usually have much trouble finding us. We run a small enterprise here selling various items that people in the area need. The shop is tucked away inside the complex. It’s not a big, modern mall, just a regular local commercial building. We have been here for a good number of years now. I usually run the shop myself, though sometimes my son comes in to help when things get busy during the festival seasons. Jwalapur is a vibrant place and there’s always something happening outside on the road. Inside the shop, things are a bit more quiet. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling because we try to keep a lot of variety in stock. It’s a bit cramped, but it works for us. We don’t do any fancy promotions or anything like that. We just open up every morning and wait for our regular customers to stop by. We know many of them by name. It is a simple way of doing business, based on being here every day and providing what we say we will. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps and chat with the other shop owners when business is slow. It’s a good community to be part of.
